Welcome friends! Aloha mates!

Here's a warm welcome to all of you who are visiting me. This is kind of new to me( the Old School) me, reaching out and connecting to people through this new way. Needless to say I am excited and looking forward to hearing from you all!

I feel each one of us has a storehouse of wisdom and plain practical advice inside of us and that each one can share, help, teach and just make another person's life richer simply by communicating more. Or I guess I just want to hear myself as I write to all of you,and while doing so, remind myself , that I have something that I would like to share with the world too.

So looking forward to hearing your views and sharing some of mine as we go on this journey together..........

Anu.

Perry and Romney: Behave!

"What happens at Las Vegas stays at Las Vegas" , I wish this was true for Romney and Perry too.Perry"s attack on Romney was very personal and aggressive and to top it, like 'the cherry on top' was Romney's angry reaction! The 'let me finish, no let me talk' exchange was just pathetic. Even Kindergarten students know better than to interrupt so.So it makes us think, if it has not already made us think this, then at least now it must, as to WHY were these men SO desperate. It was not that this was their 'only' moment and if it was, more so, then, to behave than not!Yet, both the men simply let go of basic etiquette  and that too while on national T.V.!

Does it not bother anyone that these very men were there at that debate to be considered as potential presidential candidates ? So let me get this straight : they were actually there to prove that their agenda and their way of working was worth considering? They were asking us to trust them with the future of our country, for being responsible to take crucial decisions affecting the fate of millions, to say the least? They were there to portray how they would consider grave issues with the rationality and deep, careful, calm consideration required before deciding on any of the crucial issues that face us today.

Scary images pass through my mind when I think that any of these men could well forget the main issue at hand in a race to prove who is the superior candidate. I cannot shake off that nagging thought that this is not the kind of leaders we deserve, we need, especially in these trying times. In fact, quite the opposite though, someone with a vision and then the perseverance it takes to plow on even in spite of resistance. What bothers me most is that these men knew very well that controversial/sensitive issues are bound to be brought up at the debate and yet they cast any shred of self control to the winds, this when they knew they were on T.V and being witnessed by millions! No, that did not deter them from behaving like fools!

Well, enough said, I, for one, am not going to be casting my vote to any fool or any adult who does not have the decency to conduct himself , especially, when so much is at stake. And for those of you who say 'that is the approach to be able to counterattack Obama at all fronts' I would say that this way is hardly going to get any positive results for the basic needs of the common citizens out there who are not watching to see who prevails but what gets done.
