Happy Halloween to one and all. So, in my household we are Bumblebee from Transformers, Cleopatra, Elvis Presley and a good old witch.Yes, the kids have done their bit in decorating the house and I have done mine with all the baked goods etc and we are ready to roll.Nothing like Halloween to dress up and have some good fun with the kids and for me it is the official start of the HOLIDAYS!
For those of you who already have their costumes ready : "YEAH! YIPEE!''For those of you who have the costumes but are not quite ready to wear them : " Come on, be a good sport, what better opportunity than this to dress up as someone u always wanted to be or dared to be or to just 'try on a new garb' (literally) once in a while, for instance, computer engineers who fancy cooking -try on a chef's attire and pretend just for tonight that YOU are a world famous chef! There is a whole world out there for you to pick out your wish so go for it!"
For those of you who have been so caught up in the rigors of everyday living that you did not have the time to get a costume : look carefully in your closet, in the section of the closet especially where you stick the trousers you don't like much and the blouse you thought was " not you" or " too much". Give it a second look and come up with a truly original get up! The 'bold n daring Me' donning the most vibrant colors from your closet or match stripes with plaid and become a 'clown' by donning multiple shirts and multiple skirts of varying lengths so that a half-sleeve shirt goes as a second layer on top of a full-sleeve shirt and a shorter skirt over a full length skirt followed by an even shorter skirt. Remember to choose bright colors or plaids over stripes, for instance.A nose for you can easily be found as a soft red rubber ball cut open and adjusted just right on your nose.Borrow the hair color your kids have or better yet, ask them to spray some cool hair color on your hair to adjust your rating on your kid's "degree of coolness " timeline!!Who knew dressing up as a giant or even a doctor was the way to build bridges between two generations!
Wishing you all a fantabulastic Halloween!!

Welcome friends! Aloha mates!
Here's a warm welcome to all of you who are visiting me. This is kind of new to me( the Old School) me, reaching out and connecting to people through this new way. Needless to say I am excited and looking forward to hearing from you all!
I feel each one of us has a storehouse of wisdom and plain practical advice inside of us and that each one can share, help, teach and just make another person's life richer simply by communicating more. Or I guess I just want to hear myself as I write to all of you,and while doing so, remind myself , that I have something that I would like to share with the world too.
So looking forward to hearing your views and sharing some of mine as we go on this journey together..........
